武漢大學與香港嶺南大學關于經(jīng)濟學博士聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)項目簡介
1.目標
武漢大學和嶺南大學將在平等互利的基礎上，共同組織和實施全日制博士學位經(jīng)濟學專業(yè)項目。
成功完成所有必修課程并通過雙方共同組織的論文答辯后，參加該聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)項目的學生將獲得武漢大學經(jīng)濟學博士學位和嶺南大學經(jīng)濟學博士學位。
2.開始時間和入學人數(shù)
每年的招生目標為2名學生；確切的人數(shù)需雙方每年商議決定。
3.期限
項目全日制課程正常學習時間為四年（48個月），最長為6年(72個月)
4.候選人的甄選和錄取
選拔和錄取過程將按照雙方的有關規(guī)定執(zhí)行。
雙方共同負責候選人的甄選和錄取。參加該項目的學生應：
1) 提交個人申請表
2) 滿足兩所大學的入學要求（包括英語要求）
3) 通過了雙方教師共同組織進行的面試
5.課程設置
該項目的學生將在武漢大學學習前兩年，在嶺南大學學習后兩年。在前兩年中，學生應滿足武漢大學博士學位課程的課程要求。建議學生在前兩年開始研究工作，并應在后兩年集中精力進行研究。雙方互認學分。
從第一年開始，根據(jù)雙方的協(xié)議，每位學生將由嶺南大學的一名導師和武漢大學的一名副導師配對。所在學校的（共同）主管應密切監(jiān)督學生的學習進度。在另一所機構(gòu)中的（共同）主管應至少每年與該學生舉行一次在線會議。兩位導師應通過電子郵件、網(wǎng)絡或面對面的交流，定期就學生的學習進展進行交流。
6.獎學金與學費
在正常四年的學習時間內(nèi),武漢大學將提供相關獎學金和收取第一和第二年的學費,嶺南大學將提供相關獎學金和收取第三和第四年的學費。如果學生的學習時間超過四年，在此期間不保證經(jīng)濟資助，學生應支付由此產(chǎn)生的相關費用
7.學位論文和學位授予
學生需要完成符合兩校學位要求的博士論文，并通過論文答辯。由雙方教員組成的論文考試小組將為每位學生評估論文成果。
1)嶺南大學會在學生完成所有必修課程并通過論文答辯后，將會頒發(fā)學位。
2)學生完成全部必修課程、完成論文發(fā)表要求并通過論文答辯后，武漢大學才會授予學位。
8.聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)項目的組織與管理
聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)博士項目將由雙方共同執(zhí)行。

1.Objectives
On the basis of equality and mutual benefits,Wuhan Universityand Lingnan University will jointly organise and implement a full time DoublePh.D.Degree Programme inEconomics.
After they have successfully completed all the required courses and passed thesis defense jointly organized by bothparties, students enrolled in the Programme will be awarded both thePh.D.degree inEconomicsbyWuhan Universityand thePh.D.degreein Economicsby Lingnan University.
2.Starting Time and the Size of Enrollment
There will be an annual intake target of 2 students; but the exact number is to be approved and agreed by both parties every year.
3.Duration
The normal study duration of this full-time Programme is 4years (48 months). The minimum study duration is 3 years (36 months) and the maximum study duration is 7 years (84 months).
4.Selection and Admission of the Candidates
The process of selection and admission will be executed in accordance with the relevant regulations of both parties.
Both parties are jointly responsible for the candidates’ selection and admission. Students enrolled in the Programme should:
1)Submit an individual application form
2)Fulfill the admission requirements (including English requirement) of both universities
3)Havepassedthe interview jointly conducted by faculty members from both parties
5.Curriculum
Students in the Programme will spend the first two years at Wuhan Universityand the last two years at Lingnan University. In the first two years, studentsshould fulfill the coursework requirement of Wuhan University’s PhD program.Studentsareadvised to start research work in the first two years and should concentrate on research in the last two years. Each of the two institutions recognizes students’ credits taken in the other institution.
Each student will be matched with a supervisor from Lingnan University and a co-supervisor from Wuhan University based on mutual agreement, starting from the first year. The (co-)supervisor of the host institution should closely supervise the student’s study progress. The (co-)supervisor who is physically in the other institution shouldhold online meetings with the studentat leastthree times ayear.The two supervisors should maintain regular communications on the student’s progress through emails, online or face-to-face meetings.
6.Studentship and Tuition Fee
Throughout the normal four years of a student’s study duration,Wuhan University willprovide studentship andcollect relevant tuition feesinthe first and second years,whilethe Department of Economics atLingnan University willprovide studentship and Lingnan University will collecttuition fees, students’ union fees and graduation fees etc.inthe third and fourth years.If a student’s study duration is longer than four years, no financial support is guaranteed for the extended period, while the student should pay the resultant fees.
7.Degree Thesis and Award of Degrees
The student should complete aPh.D.thesisthat meets the degree requirements ofboth universities and pass a thesis examination. A thesis examination panel, consisting of faculty members from both parties, will be formed for each student, to assess the student’s thesis work.
1) Degrees will be awardedfromLingnan University conditional on the fulfillment of all the LU graduation requirements and compliance with all LU regulations for RPg students.2) Degrees will be awardedfromWuhan University after and only after the students have successfully completed all the required courses, the requirement of publications, and passed the thesis examination.
8.Organisation and Administration of the Programme
The Double-Ph.D.Programme will be jointly executed by the two parties.
