There has been a rapid growth of the digitally-enabled gig economy and associated non-standard employment. Extant research on gig work has primarily focused on employment issues, the labour process and, more recently, human resource management (HRM) and workers’ behavior. It is now accepted that HRM and, by extension, strategic HRM, are relevant to independent work without an employment relationship or a defined employer. This presentation provides an overview of the status quo of research on digital-platform-based gig employment and the implications of this development for the workers and organizations hiring gig workers on various HRM aspects. It also outlines how HRM researchers may reframe research in this area, with suggestions for future research. It suggests that future research should extend strategic HRM to the gig economy context more explicitly through the HR ecosystem perspective. It calls for a return to the pluralistic perspective of strategic HRM underpinned by a common good approach, embracing a broad set of actors, especially the role of the state.
隨著數(shù)字化推動的零工經(jīng)濟及相關(guān)非標(biāo)準(zhǔn)就業(yè)形式的快速增長,現(xiàn)有關(guān)于零工工作的研究主要集中在就業(yè)問題、勞動過程,以及近年來對人力資源管理(HRM)和勞動者行為的研究。目前已普遍接受,HRM 以及延伸出的戰(zhàn)略性 HRM 與沒有正式雇傭關(guān)系或明確雇主的獨立工作同樣相關(guān)。本次講座將概述基于數(shù)字平臺的零工就業(yè)研究現(xiàn)狀,并探討這一發(fā)展對勞動力以及雇傭零工勞動者的組織在不同人力資源管理方面的影響。講座還將指出人力資源管理研究者如何重新框定該領(lǐng)域的研究,并提出未來研究建議。講座認(rèn)為,未來研究應(yīng)更加明確地通過人力資源生態(tài)系統(tǒng)視角,將戰(zhàn)略性 HRM 延伸至零工經(jīng)濟情境。同時,呼吁戰(zhàn)略性 HRM 回歸多元化視角,以“公共利益”為基礎(chǔ)方法,涵蓋更廣泛的參與主體,尤其強調(diào)政府角色的重要性。
個人學(xué)術(shù)簡介:
Fang Lee Cooke,澳大利亞蒙納士大學(xué)商學(xué)院的講席教授(Monash Business School, Monash University,澳大利亞社會科學(xué)學(xué)院(Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia)的會士。她曾擔(dān)任聯(lián)合國環(huán)境規(guī)劃署—國際科學(xué)理事會前瞻專家小組成員(2023–2024),目前是國際勞工組織(International Labour Organization)研究評審組成員(2024–)。研究領(lǐng)域包括戰(zhàn)略人力資源管理、國際人力資源管理、可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標(biāo)(SDGs)以及跨國企業(yè)的作用。現(xiàn)任Human Resource Management和Asia Pacific Journal of Human Resources兩本學(xué)術(shù)期刊的聯(lián)合主編。
